Universal Uni-Lock Ringlock Ledger to Plank Mid Transom creates a usable bay anywhere between a horizontal & a plank. The mid transom was designed to help scaffolds get around obstacles and create openings & planked bays that otherwise would not have been reachable. Mid transoms are a key component to making a fully planked deck and easily getting around permanent structures. Install one end over the top of a horizontal and secure it to the horizontal with the wedge. The other side will go over a plank and secure with the clamp.
